5 Things I Miss About Home

5 Things I Miss About Home

I've officially been in Wellington for three and a half months! That is quite a surreal thought for me. I feel like I have achieved so much in such a small time frame and am positive about my experience so far. On Friday I have family coming to visit me for a few days and I am so excited to share my new life with them. That being said, it also has me thinking about home more than usual. So today I wanted to share 5 things I miss about home:

My Family

Of course this one is the top of my list. I miss my entire family, especially my mum.

Remy

My beautiful little puppy! I'm missing seeing her grow up and recently missed her turning one year old. It's alright though because I get sent photos of her almost on the daily.

A Well-Functioning Internet Connection

This is quite a small thing in the grand scheme of life, but I never realised how much I took my internet at home for granted. Now I am learning to deal with slow loading speeds and loss of connection at any given time.

My Shower

Ah, my shower back home. Beautifully sized, with all my lovely beauty products and perfect water pressure.

A Nice Kitchen

I currently live in a hostel where I have my own room and bathroom, but share a kitchen with a block of just over fifty people. As you can imagine it gets quite messy. Some people do not know how to clean up after themselves and as a slight neat freak it gets on my nerves a bit! Sometimes some of the hot plates don't work and you return to your pot of boiling water to realise the hot plate had never heated up to boil it in the first place.

Do you live out of home? What are some things you miss?

  2. Whenever I'm away from home the thing I miss most is my baby dog, he's like my child I can't bear to be away from him. You're honestly so brave to be living away from home.

  6. As sad as it is, whenever I go on holiday or abroad I always think about how much I take good internet connection for granted back in the UK. Those travels pics aren't going to upload themselves ha ha!
