Hello to Highlighting

Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighter and Real Techniques Setting Brush

I have a confession to make... until recently I had never used highlighter before. In my defence, there are so many highlighters in this world that I didn't know where to begin. I did some research and read some reviews (as I always do before purchasing something new) and decided on Makeup Revolution's Vivid Baked Highlighter in Golden Lights. I also picked up the Setting Brush from Real Techniques. Here are some thoughts:

Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter

I have been obsessed with this product since the first time I put it on. Golden Lights is a cool, gold colour. I love the way it looks on my skin and catches light. The highlighter has a strong pigment, meaning you don't need to apply much to create a visible highlight and great longevity. Vivid Baked Highlighter has a smooth formula, allowing for effortless application and minimal fallout.

Real Techniques Setting Brush

I've been a big fan of Real Techniques for years! So it simply made sense for me to purchase their Setting Brush to use with my new highlighter. I really like the thin handle, it's comfortable to hold and makes it easier to use. The small and tapered brush lets me apply product accurately. I'm loving it for applying highlighter. And, my favourite thing about Real Techniques brushes, it is soooo soft!

I have definitely become a highlighter convert. A full face doesn't feel finished without it now! Do you have any highlighter suggestions for me to try next?
