NYX: Love in Paris Eye Shadow Palette | Review

This week on my blog I am featuring some NYX products that I recently bought. Today is the Love in Paris Eye Shadow Palette. I purchased 'Parisian Chic'. I bought this palette because I was searching for something that was affordable and contained matte shades. 

Matte Shades - 1, 4, 5 & 6
Shimmer Shades - 2, 3, 7, 8 & 9

Mattes - 1, 4, 5 & 6

Considering I bought this palette for the mattes, I was really disappointed. They aren't very pigmented, I found them difficult to swatch and therefore opted not to. They are quite dry and I found it hard to build up the colour. The mattes did not crease, but they did fade. 

Shimmers - 2, 3, 7, 8 & 9

I was much more impressed by the shimmery shades! They were more pigmented and not as dry. They applied more smoothly and were easily buildable. They also did not crease, which I was expecting after discovering they were creamier. The colour faded slightly, but not as much as the matte shades. 

All the colours in 'Parisian Chic' are very wearable. Shades 1 and 2 are great all over lid colours. Shade 4 is a nice colour for use on the brow bone and inner corner. You can use this palette to create many different neutral looks. I wish I had been more impressed with the pigmentation. I found it difficult to swatch any of the shades. This palette will still be in my rotation, as I love the shades.
