Goodbye Wellington

View from my hotel
Tomorrow is a very exciting, nerve-racking and all together weird day for me. Tomorrow at 7pm I will be heading to the airport to leave Wellington and move back to Australia. I've spent the last 11 months in this beautiful city and could not be more thankful for everything that has happened this year.

Lush: Rub Rub Rub | Review

Lush Rub Rub Rub

Oh Lush, you certainly do have my heart. There's nothing I enjoy more than a luxurious Lush product. They always feel like such a treat to use! Rub Rub Rub is the first scrub that I have used from Lush. I received it as a birthday gift back in April from my wonderful mum. Today I am finally reviewing it for you!

Essie Tying the Knotie and Virgin Snow

We are well and truly into Spring, in fact, it's almost Summer! In light of the nicer weather, that is hopefully on it's way, I purchased a few new Essie polishes. These two colours are perfect for warmer months! Here is what I picked up:

Why You Should Do A Social Media Detox

Social Media Detox

Social media has become a huge part of modern life. As a blogger, it's an integral tool for me to connect with like minded people and share my content. People use social media to speak to loved ones, share their humour, promote their businesses and rally support for different causes. There are so many beneficial aspects to social media but, as I'm sure we all know, it can also have negative effect. So here's why you should do a social media detox right now!

Blog Prop Haul

Blog Props

Happy November everyone! Can you believe that we only have two months left of 2016?!

I've been feeling that my blog photos have been lacking. I always envy the photos I see on other blogs. So I decided to use them as inspiration. I started taking note of what I liked and figuring out what elements I wanted to start including in my own photos. I took advantage of the Labour Day long weekend sales and picked up a few bits and pieces. Here is what I got! All prices are in NZD.

Visiting Home

Cosy Cup of Hot Chocolate

A few weeks ago I returned to Wellington after visiting home for the first time in 8 months. I was able to spend 10 days at home. It was a great chance to rest and refresh. After being non-stop for so long I really enjoyed the break.

St. Ives: Green Tea Scrub | Review

Scrubs are so important for your skin and today I thought I'd share a product I added to my skincare routine a few months ago. As I was researching for this post I discovered that St. Ives have rebranded and re-released this scrub. I am unsure whether the formula is the same, but I thought I'd share my findings on St. Ives' Blackhead Clearing Scrub anyway!

5 Things I Miss About Home

5 Things I Miss About Home

I've officially been in Wellington for three and a half months! That is quite a surreal thought for me. I feel like I have achieved so much in such a small time frame and am positive about my experience so far. On Friday I have family coming to visit me for a few days and I am so excited to share my new life with them. That being said, it also has me thinking about home more than usual. So today I wanted to share 5 things I miss about home:

L'Oreal Paris: True Match Foundation | Review

L'Oreal Paris: True Match Foundation

Finding the perfect foundation is something I've struggled with since I first started wearing make up. It's not something I wear every day, generally only when my skin is having a bad day, I feel like making my complexion more even or I'm doing a full face of make up. As a pale person with yellow undertones, I find it difficult to find a foundation that matches my skin without being too orange, too pink or too dark. L'Oreal Paris' True Match Foundation has a wide range of shades so I decided to give it a go!

Turning 20

Turning 20

Tomorrow is the my 20th birthday (happy birthday to me!). Over the past week I have been reflecting on my life and what I have achieved. I would say at the moment I am happy with my life and happy with who I am. Today I was going to share 20 things I learned by 20. Instead I've decided to touch on just a few things, more in depth. So here are some words of wisdom from me in my last few hours of being 19!

7 Spotify Playlists

I love Spotify. It's great for discovering new music, artists you've never heard of and listening to the big hits! I'm also a huge fan of their playlists. I have a broad taste in music and generally it depends on how I'm feeling. Spotify is perfect for finding playlists that match your mood! Today I'm sharing 7 playlists that I'm loving right now:

Maybelline: Instant Age Rewind Concealer | Review

Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer

Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer is a product I have wanted to try for so long! But whenever I went to the drugstore it was always sold out or the wrong shade was in stock. I've finally managed to get my hands on it and here are my thoughts:

Soft Pink Make Up Look

Soft Pink Make Up Look Products

Lately I've been obsessed with pink and mauve shades, particularly eye shadows. I think they really suit hazel eyes (which I have!) and for me it's not too far away from my comfort zone of neutrals. I created this look using the Models Prefer Complete Colour Portfolio palette.

Rimmel: Lasting Finish Kate Moss Nude Collection Lipstick | Review & Swatches

Rimmel Kate Moss 045

Now I was definitely late to the game when it came to the release of Rimmel's Kate Moss Nude Collection. However, I managed to purchase 045 during Priceline's post Christmas sales. I also swatched 042 when I was in store, but decided upon 045 as I felt that it suited my skin tone and style better.

Lush: The Kiss Lip Scrub | Review

If there's one thing I've learned from living in Wellington it's that this environment does no favours for my skin, particularly my lips. When my mum was leaving to go back to Australia, she very kindly offered to buy me something from Lush. I decided upon 'The Kiss' Lip Scrub. I'd never used a lip scrub before and felt that it was exactly what my lips needed in windy Wellington.

Essence: In the Nude | Review & Swatches

Back in October I reviewed Essence's lip liners, however I hadn't been able to get my hands on the shade 'In the Nude'. I finally managed to grab it during Priceline's Pink Dot Sale (haul here) and am so excited to have it in my collection.

Moving Abroad

Moving Abroad

I haven't done many personal posts on this blog and today I wanted to give you a little update on my life. As this post goes live I am sitting on a plane. I decided a few months ago that I wanted to move away from home, to see how I go fending for myself and trying to figure out how to be an adult. I visited New Zealand last year (you can see photos from my Wellington trip here) and loved it. While it isn't a far stretch from Australia, I'm not even sure if I should call it moving abroad, it is a huge step for me. I want to experience life as much as I can and build some independence.

Drugstore Beauty Haul

Drugstore Beauty Haul

In my last post I shared the clothing items I bought during the sales. Today I'm sharing what I purchased during Priceline's Pink Dot Sale. I had prepared for this sale for a few days prior (making lists of products I wanted to try and the colours I wanted to test). I bought items online if I didn't need to see the colours or had used the product in the past. I went in store for swatching colours or if the item had been sold out online. Here is what I got!

New Year's Resolutions Everyone Should Make

2016 Planner Diary

Happy New Year! Now's the time that everyone starts to make changes in their life. People begin to work on their goals and resolutions. To me, there is a difference between the two. Goals are something you want to complete or achieve. A resolution is the decision to take actions to make your life better. Here are some resolutions everyone can benefit from:
